Trip | One Year

The star of the show from one of my most memorable newborn sessions, Trip, turns one soon, and what better time for some updated family photos? Trip’s mama requested a location with a shallow creek for these and luckily, I’d recently found the perfect spot in Dallas for just that. A third trimester twin belly doesn’t make it easy to crouch and squat for long like I’d typically do at a one-year session to get down on their level, so I wore clothes I didn’t mind getting wet and plopped myself down in the water right along with Trip. Not a bad way to beat the August heat!

This birthday boy flirted with me a little at first and then decided he was too cool to smile much, but we got some darling shots of this sweet family and mostly, I just wanted to capture those big blue eyes. Happy birthday, handsome boy!
