What a memorable day for Katelyn and Colten! This wedding kicked of the month of June with some major rainfall … we’re talking torr-en-tial downpours. All. day. long. Power outages right before the ceremony started, two different hailstorms … all of our plans for outdoor group photos and pre-ceremony portraits, out the window. It was a good reminder of a few things: that every wedding day needs a backup plan for rain - even if the venue is inside. Are there decent spots for pictures indoors? We definitely would’ve preferred shots in the beautiful fields outside, but we made the best of what we had. But this day was also a reminder that when nothing seems to go as planned on a wedding day, one thing remains true: you’ll leave as husband and wife, married to the one you love. Katelyn and Colten clung to that and enjoyed the company and support of so many people who loved them and braved the crazy weather to show up for them. Everyone ended up having a blast!
Katelyn and Colten, it was an honor to document your story and I know that you two will be able to weather all the storms that may come your way! Cheers to the Gardners!
