This job allows me to get to meet new families pretty often - definitely one of the best parts of the gig and something I look forward to. I so enjoy connecting with couples, their families, and new moms and dads. But sometimes I make a connection that’s extra special and I just KNOW is God-ordained. When I was welcomed into Sophia’s home and heard her story, I couldn’t help but think they were put along my path for a reason!
Sophia’s parents went through SO. MUCH. to have this precious baby. Heartache, loss, and despair for years. But like her parents, Chelsey and Marco, said - they’d go through every second of it again in a heartbeat if it meant getting their girl. They are absolutely in love with this little princess and beyond overjoyed that they get to call her theirs. Sophia gave us so many different expressions, too! Some hilarious faces in between the sweet ones, for sure.
Before I left and again when I delivered their gallery, Chelsey told me she’d be praying for me as we go through some hurdles of our own in starting our own family. She knows how lonely and painful the road can be and offered a listening ear. I can’t tell you how much that means to me. Thank you, C + M, for sharing one of Sophia’s first days at home with me and for spreading kindness. Here’s their girl!
