Alissa and Byron met through a mutual friend and their love quickly grew. At one point while they were dating, Alissa mentioned that she loved old historic churches. Byron held on to that little piece of information, and when it came time for him to propose, he knew exactly where to take her. He asked her to be his wife on the steps of a beautiful historic chapel in west Texas. For their engagement photos, the couple wanted to take a few on the iconic train bridge in Canadian, Texas, before we headed to Byron's family's ranch a short drive away. As two Texas panhandle natives, these corrals and fields and canyons are so meaningful to them and were the perfect place to capture their love together. Since their wedding will a destination ceremony in Breckenridge, Colorado this spring, Alissa wanted to wear her reception dress for these engagement photos and asked to do a 'first look' with Byron. His reaction was so sweet and emotional!
