Seems like I’d been looking forward to Bety and Luis’s wedding for so long, it was almost surreal when the day finally arrived! Bety and Luis met on Coffee Meets Bagel, an online dating site, so of course I was partial to their love story and couldn’t wait to see the culmination of this modern day fairy tale at the gorgeous St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas, followed by a dreamy reception at the NYLO Las Colinas Hotel.
Bety and Luis incorporated so many beautiful traditions into their ceremony, like las arras - gold coins - and el lazo - a lasso placed around the couple by their padrinos, or Godparents. It’s always so amazing to witness special moments like this that are so important to each couple and their families!
After the ceremony, we headed to The Canals in Las Colinas to celebrate with their bridal party, and then Luis, who works for 7-Eleven’s corporate office, suggested that we should stop by the nearest convenience store for some Slurpees, wedding attire and all … HECK. YES. We drew some stares (and some well wishes!) in the 7-Eleven but oh my gosh. Such a fun memory.
As you can see, it was so hard to narrow down this blog to just a handful of photos because B + L had a TON of memorable moments from their gorgeous day, but here’s a glimpse! Thank you, Flores family, for having me!
